If you are using an Ergobaby Original or Ergobaby All Position 360 Carrier, you will need an infant insert when wearing your baby between 3.2-5.5kgs / 7-12lbs or approx. newborn to 4 months old. Our Adapt and Omni 360 carriers can be used from newborn (min. 3.2kgs/7lbs) with no need for an insert.
How long do you have to use the ERGO Infant Insert?
Ergobaby recommends that the infant insert should be used until a baby weighs at least 12 pounds AND is at least 4 months old. We were able to stop padding Ergobaby when our baby was a little over 2 months.

How do you clean Ergo infant insert?
You can wash your Ergobaby carrier using a mild detergent on a gentle cycle with cold water. You can use the dryer for about 20 minutes. It will still be damp. Hang out to dry for the duration of the drying time.
